THE 'TERROIR PARISIEN'
With a capacity of 74 places, the restaurant managed by Yannick Alléno welcomes guests into an environment filled with authenticity, thanks to use of materials such as stone, zinc, wood, and leather…
This friendly and relaxed atmosphere is the setting for the "Terroir Parisien" restaurant whose menu is inspired by traditional Parisian bistrot dishes known as "plats canailles".
For the last three years, the "Terroir Parisian" has been Yannick Alléno's flagship restaurant, paying tribute to his native Ile-de-France region, its local produce and colourful people. Having written a successful cookery book exploring and reinventing these traditional recipes, he decided to showcase the recipes himself and opened his first "Terroir Parisien" bistrot. He established the restaurant in the heart of historic Paris and brought forgotten Parisian dishes back to life, drawing on a spirit of perpetual creativity.
"I really enjoy using the arts of high gastronomy on the most simple things. I have fun borrowing and reinventing traditional French recipes such as the famous "jambon-beurre" (ham and butter), "huîtres pain beurre" (oysters with bread and butter) or "pâté pantin" (paté in pastry)," explains Yannick Alléno.
Yannick Alléno is member of the very closed circle of the world's greatest chefs, having obtained his third Michelin star in 2007 for his work at the Hôtel Meurice. Elected chef of the year by his peers in 2008, the 2009 winner of the Bocuse d’Or is a true perfectionist whose talent stands out thanks to his ability to reinvent traditional dishes.
